Arwen started dancing when she was 10 years old, at North County Dance Arts with Louis Mckay, and immediately fell in love with dance.
Arwen graduated from UC Irvine in 2004 with a BA in dance and an excellence in choreography award. After living in New York City for two years, performing and on scholarship at Broadway Dance Center, Arwen was in a horrific car accident that left her face shattered and with a prosthetic left eye.
After having 20 re-constructive surgeries over the next decade, she built a dance program at Encinitas Country Day School, for 6 years, and then moved on to open her own successful competitive dance studio in 2012 called Arwen Daniels Dance Academy, until January 2019.
Currently Arwen is the JV Contemporary Head Coach at Torrey Pines High School, and in August 2019 Arwen returned to North County Dance Arts as an instructor, where her dance journey began 26 years ago!
