Danielle Villano

Danielle saw her first ballet at the age of four and from that day forward she knew she wanted to dance! She began training under the direction of Victor Moreno in classical ballet and performed in her first ballet at the young age of four. In addition to her ballet classes, she also studied gymnastics and was a cheerleader for many years.

After moving from the East Coast, she was fortunate enough to study with Lynda Yourth (former Balanchine ballerina of the New York City Ballet) at the American Ballet School of San Diego. It was there where she trained with not only Mieczyslaw Morawski but also Anatoly Sisman. While on scholarship at the American Ballet School of San Diego, Danielle performed in the American Ballet Ensemble and continued her teaching of ballet to children.
Summers were spent enhancing her studies with various guest artists such as Gelsey Kirkland, Gyula Pandi, Jilliana and classes and workshops at the Joffrey Ballet School. Danielle teaches classes throughout north county San Diego and is beginning her ninth year as part of the great teaching staff of North County DanceArts. In addition to her teaching, Danielle is very busy raising her beautiful daughter Allegra. She feels so lucky to be able to share her love and knowledge of dance with her students and she looks forward to many more years to come.
